Aquopolis De Madrid, Have A Refreshing And Fun Time

Those who live in Madrid and cannot go on vacation, or those who visit it and want to escape the heat, have perfect places to get it. Aquopolis offers two parks to enjoy a fun and refreshing day!

Aquopolis: fun for the whole family

The Aquopolis parks are located in San Fernando de Henares and Villanueva de la Cañada. The latter is the best known, and also one of the largest in Europe. Located just half an hour from the capital, it is one of the ideal places, without a doubt, to enjoy with friends or family.

What will you find in them? Imposing slides to release adrenaline,  wave pools or artificial beaches. There are also exclusive areas so that the little ones can have a great time safely.

Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada

With a most exotic Hawaiian decoration, this park offers everything you need to enjoy an unforgettable day. Here you can have fun in its attractions, sunbathe on its sandy beach or take a good swim in its wave pool.

Attractions for everyone

Whether you want to enjoy dizzying descents or are looking for something calmer, you will find it here. The attractions of the park are divided into three categories :

• Moderate : fun without offering too many shocks. They are slides to slide with or without a float, the wave pool and a pond with tropical airs that, in addition, is adapted for the disabled.
• For children : younger children also have their space to have fun on slides made to measure or between structures that launch fun jets of water.
• High emotion : ideal attractions if what you want is to feel the adrenaline rush through your veins. How? Gliding down slides with vertiginous slopes where you will reach 50 kilometers per hour, through dark tubes or ramps with ‘boomerang’ effects.

Other attractions

Who said that Madrid doesn’t have a beach? In Aquopolis you will find Malibu Beach, a beach with more than two thousand meters of fine sand. Located next to the wave pool, its sun loungers and umbrellas will transport you to one of those exotic and distant places that you have sometimes dreamed of.

The park also has “VIP” areas,  in case you want to enjoy a little more privacy. There are about twenty private rooms with loungers, tables, chairs and a left-luggage office.

What else do you have to know about Aquopolis?

There are some things you need to know before planning your fun day at Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada. The first thing is that the park only opens in summer, between June and early September. Hours vary by month: June and September from 12 a.m. to 7 p.m. and July and August from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

How to get

If you go by private car, you have three alternatives :

• By the M-600 (connects San Lorenzo de El Escorial and Brunete).
• By the M-501 (connects M-40 and M-50 with Brunete and El Escorial).
• By the M-503 (connects Villanueva de la Cañada with Majahonda).

You can also get there comfortably by public transport,  two lines bring you closer to the park:

• Line 627 (Madrid-Brunete). It leaves from the Moncloa Transport Interchange every 10 minutes from 7 in the morning. It has a stop at the park gate.
• Line 581 (Madrid-Quijorna). It departs from Paseo de la Florida every 40 minutes. It leaves you 5 minutes from the access door to Aquopolis.

Tickets

They can be purchased both online and at the box office directly on the day of your visit. But in the first case it is more convenient, queues are avoided and some benefits are enjoyed. The children’s entrance is determined by the height: between 0.90 and 1.40 cm. Below 0.90 cm entry is free and above 1.40 cm you pay as an adult (regardless of age).

Meal

It is allowed to enter with food and drink, as long as they are not in glass containers or cans. You can also go out to eat outside the park. You have 20 minutes to return, otherwise the entrance will have to be paid again.

If you do not want to bring your own food, no problem, since Aquopolis offers a wide range of bars, restaurants, kiosks and self-services to consume from a sandwich to a hamburger, juice or ice cream.

Items included and excluded

The ticket price includes floats for the little ones and if an adult requires them. The Malibu Beach locker and lounger service are not included in the price, but those in the park are.
