This is one of the best-known coastal towns in Granada  for its good location. A town with medieval airs, narrow alleys and white houses that becomes an ideal place to spend a few days to relax.

The Peñón de Salobreña beach is the best known. It is 1850 meters long and the crystalline color of its waters stands out, which gently caress the rock every time they approach land.

Also in Salobreña is the beautiful beach of Cambrón, at the foot of a mountainous system. A totally virgin gravel beach and only 86 meters long. It is so isolated from everything that you will have to walk about two kilometers to reach it.

Granada capital is about 60 kilometers away, so if you want to stay in Salobreña, you already know that visiting the Mozarabic city will not be a big problem.

2. Motril

Motril is more than a traditional town, it is almost considered a city for its modern buildings, its promenade and its tourism, attracted by the beauty of its beaches.

Calahonda beach received the blue flag for the contrast of its dark sand with its turquoise waters, as well as for its wide range of services and facilities. Another of its advantages is the car park with more than 100 spaces available and the bus stop, which will leave you practically at the foot of what is one of the best beaches in Granada.

Almuñécar also has some of the best beaches in Granada, such as Cantarriján, with deep blue waters and coarse sand and pebbles. Thanks to the serenity of these waters, it is one of the most sought after Andalusian beaches for diving, also for its wide variety of fish and coral.

Although it is small and its access is difficult, it is a very popular beach, because in its air you can breathe a calm and peaceful atmosphere. You just have to know that it is possible that you meet a nudist, since nudism is allowed, although it is not mandatory.

Also in Almuñécar is La Herrdura beach. It is the most famous among the people of Granada and among those who have already had more than one contact with the beaches of Granada. It is an urban beach surrounded by green and lush vegetation, but with all the necessary services and facilities.

Its seabed has been awarded the Q for Tourist Quality for its extensive coral reef and species of marine animals that are in danger of extinction and that the Almuñécar City Council strives to conserve.

4. La Rijana

Best of all, it is a virgin beach, which only has a small beach bar where you can buy something to drink and taste its excellent fried fish.

5. The Russian Beach

It is located in Albuñol and its name comes from a Soviet soldier who fled and took refuge in this beautiful cove, which to this day remains a virgin. Access to it is a steep path through which you will have to be careful, and remember to bring supplies because there is no service or facility nearby.
