Going on a caravan or motorhome route through Portugal is a great idea. From north to south: a caravan tour with children through Portugal

From the border of Portugal with Galicia to the great tourist centers of the Algarve, in the south of the country, there is a distance that does not reach 700 kilometers. A distance that does not scare the users of caravans and motorhomes, so it is feasible to prepare a trip that will take us to know the whole country.

However, if this trip is made with children, it is necessary to know how to value the hours of the road, so that for them they are not a suffering. For that reason, we must have planned stops in places that we know the little ones are going to love. So here are some ideas:

By boat in Porto

The great city in the north of the country is Porto, and of course in a caravan tour with children through Portugal you cannot miss a stop in this city. There, a spectacular heritage awaits us, some famous wineries and views of the river that must be contemplated calmly.

And there is a way to enjoy the city that children and adults like: a river cruise on the waters of the Douro. And is that some of these cruises can be done in rabelos, the typical boats that once transported Port wine.
