In 1904 the city of Alesund suffered a terrible fire that forced it to change its appearance. The fire destroyed buildings, houses and everything in its path in the sixteen hours it was active. Only about 200 homes stood, leaving approximately 10,000 people homeless.

In this way, in 1907 the city regained all its splendor. Of course, it has become a totally different town from what can be seen in other places in the Nordic country, but also in the world.
